David Beckham has touched down in London after a dramatic mercy dash to see his father who had surgery following a near-fatal heart attack last night.? The former England captain arrived at Heathrow Airport this afternoon and is expected to head directly to his father’s bedside.? Earlier, Beckham was clearly upset as he was photographed arriving at Los Angeles International Airport after hearing the news.
Carrying a small holdall, Beckham, who plays for LA Galaxy, refused to answer questions as he bypassed the check-in desk and headed for airport security.? The dash to London followed the sudden heart attack by Ted Beckham, who “died” on the way to Whipp’s Cross hospital in East London and had to be revived by paramedics.
He was taken into the resuscitation room, where doctors battled for three hours to save him.? The 59-year-old was then moved to another hospital in central London where other members of his family were thought to be by his bedside.? Source
