Nicole Richie has announced that she is three months pregnant with Joel Madden’s baby.

She insists that the pregnancy was not a shock as many media sources have reported. She tells NW Magazine, “I got pregnant because I want to turn my life around,”.

Nicole is hurt and furious over speculation she’s having a baby just to avoid a possible jail sentence. “She’s fed up with all the misinformation being tossed around, especially the ridiculous claims that she got pregnant on purpose to stay out of prison,” a friend tells.

“Hearing that one made her really anxious to speak out and set the record straight.”

Isn’t getting pregnant to fix their life the worse thing someone can do! Just look at Britney!
