Pete hid in a bush howling, “The demons are coming to get me”, before jumping into a photographer’s car. The Babyshambles rocker looked “off his head” as he was refused a fare by a taxi driver, before landing a lift with a bemused photographer and making a series of bizarre protestations.
Sam Kelly, 24, had watched Pete try to flag down a taxi near his supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss’ London home, before cowering in a bush and wailing about “demons”.
Kelly was quoted in Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying: “I approached him and he started yelling, ‘The demons are coming! The demons are coming to get me!’
