Heath Ledger Dead!

I can’t believe my ears, but Heath Ledger is dead. A New York Police Department spokesman says the actor Heath Ledger has been found dead at an apartment in SOHO.
At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger unconscious. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities. The police said they did not suspect foul play. Officials said pills were found near the body.
When paramedics responded, the actor was in full cardiac arrest. They attempted to perform CPR on him, but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Update: Cops tell TMZ Heath Ledger’s death was accidental. The medical examiner has not yet arrived, meaning heath is currently still in the apartment.
Heath Ledger had a substance abuse problem. A Ledger confidante tells TMZ he had been clean for a year.
“Pills were found in the vicinity of the bed,” police spokesman Paul Browne told CNN.
“This is being looked at as a possible overdose, but that is not confirmed yet.”
The pills appeared to be over-the-counter sleeping medication, said police spokeswoman Barbara Chen.
There is no way that this could have been “accidental.” With medication that you get over the counter, you have to take a ton of it to have that reaction. I know . . . After my stroke, I haven’t been able to sleep for more than two hours at a time. I take four sleeping pills a night, and have been doing that for nearly five years. I certainly would be dead by now, if that were the case.

I wish there was a way to turn back the clock Heath…and stop this from happening… One of the most talented and promising actors… so many images left unseen, so many emotions left to portray. And on top of it all, you seemed to be a genuine, nice and real person…
Wish I could turn back the clock and stop this from being true… You won my heart…talent is a most splendorous thing… I wish I could still watch you when we were both in our 60’s. Wish there was a way… My heart sunk when I first heard you were gone… And it sinks everytime I think of you… I just shake my head in sadness and disbelief…
I can´t take your face out of my mind Heath, and Gustavo Santaolalla’s “The Wings” from Brokeback’s soundtrack is playing in my head and won’t stop…Probably because it’s so sad, and so beautiful, and it reminds me of you…
