Last Friday, Mary-Kate Olsen, 20, linked to Heath Ledger at his death, was spotted with a female friend visiting the chic baby boutique Petit Tresor in West Hollywood. Her friend was teasing her about her belly and they spent more than forty five minutes browsing nursery furniture and Mary-Kate purchased burp cloths, bibs and t-shirts from Plain Mary emblazoned with the word "Babe" as well as a playmat and changing pad. In addition, she picked up a few layette items from babycottons
If pregnant, the obvious father would probably be boyfriend Lapo Elkann, 31, known in the media as an Italian playboy, and the heir to the Fiat empire. We got this story in as a hot tip just minutes ago – true or not is Mary-Kate Olsen you be the judge?

How much money accompanied this hot tip? Why would anyone believe anything attached to the Petit Tresor name – the people linked to stories about how Lisa Marie Presley was having a boy and girl (oh, wait – she didn’t), Jessica Alba and Jamie Lynn Spears were both having boys (oh, wait, they didn’t) and Britney Spears was having a girl (oh, wait, she didn’t either). Seriously, please tell me they are giving you money for posting this because there is no reason to ever think anything linked to this store is credible.
We do not get paid for stories we posts. We have an area on the website in the top right corner that says “hot tips” we get tips through there all the time. When tips come through we generally post them. You may notice at the end of the post I did say it came through a tip. I have never posted the stories you mention so I guess you are speaking about stories on another blog. Please feel to write to me at robyn@celebdirtylaundry.com if you want any further information. Cheers! Robyn

Robyn, so does your last message mean that anyone (such as myself, for example) can post anything they want in the Hot Tips section and you’ll publish it in your website without any attempt whatsoever to verify its accuracy? If I put a message in the Hot Tips saying that Mary-Kate has just been struck down by a car, you will publish it blindly?
Clearly not! Celebrity Dirty Laundry publishes rumors, conjecture, gossips, news and factual information. The content may contain inaccuracies and errors. We check out the information we get from tips as best as we can. Most tips come in from reliable sources that we have used for years.
