Britney Spears Arriving at the Hospital
The LAPD were called to Britney Spears’ house after she refused to obey the court-mandated custody hours. She was due to turn over Sean Preston and Jayden James at 7 p.m. PST. However, when Kevin Federline’s bodyguard arrived at her home to pick them up Britney refused to hand them over. Ninety minutes later, police arrived.
“There have been police sent to that residence,” a LAPD officer tells. “We don’t know any more at this time, but apparently they’ve arrived.”
Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, was seen leaving Spears’ home around 9 p.m.
Spears’ attorney, Sorrell Trope, tells, “In a normal case when someone shows up with a certified court order saying the kids need to be somewhere else, the police see to it that the order is obeyed. But that is in a normal case.”

DEVELOPING FACTS:
– Britney Spears locked herself and her two boys, Sean Preston, and Jayden James inside the house and refused to let anyone in.
– The police arrived they were unable to enter Britney’s house because the court-appointed monitor, who is required to carry legal documents at all time that would allow police officers to enter the home of someone being monitored, was not in possession of said papers. Kevin’s lawyer was forced to drive over to Britney’s gated community, The Summit, himself, where he and five LAPD squad cars entered.
– Police then forced their way into the house.
– After, being wheeled into an ambulance she was escorted by 13 police cars with sirens blaring and full police lights. She is being taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for observation.
– “We are concerned about her mental state and believe she may be under the influence,” an LAPD officer reveals to OK!.
– OK! has learned that only younger son Jayden James was with Britney during the standoff. Witnesses confirm that Sean Preston was taken away by Kevin’s security team earlier in the evening.
UPDATE 2:
TMZ is reporting another ambulance, more fire trucks and several additional police cars have rushed to Britney’s house. The feeling around the grounds is apparently ‘scary’.
UPDATE 3:
FOX 11 News is reporting that paramedics were seen taking a stretcher into the house to “take someone to the hospital.” Rumor is someone inside the house asked for a mental evaluation.
UPDATE 4: ABC 7 news in LA is reporting that Britney handed over the children to the police. However, the police noticed that she was under the influence of an unknown substance and that is why they called the paramedics.
At the moment they are preparing a stretcher and Kevin Federline has showed up! He is around the ambulance. Something has now been taken from the ambulance and brought into the house.
UPDATE 5: Everyone came from out of the house and were standing around the ambulance. A stretcher was then pulled out with “Britney” and rolled into the ambulance.
UPDATE 6: A child was just put into an ambulance.
TMZ has been told Britney is being taken to a local hospital on a “medical hold” — essentially a mental evaluation. Cops found her earlier this evening at her home under the influence of an “unknown substance.”
UPDATE 7: Cops are still at her house. It looks like they are packing up a chair and a board needed to restrain Britney?
UPDATE 8: Britney has arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She approximately 12:30am PT.
Her pal Sam Lutfi attempted to enter, but was not allowed to see her.
“She was sobbing,” a witness tells OK!. Sources tell OK! that Kevin Federline is actually inside the hospital with Brit (possibly with one or more of the boys), as is her pal Sam Lutfi who had earlier attempted to enter, but was barred from entering.
As she was brought out of the ambulance, she flipped off the waiting paparazzi.
K-Fed’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan is also on hand, telling OK!, “I actually don’t know what is going on.”
Update 9 – Police had erected screens at the hospital to shield her from waiting photographers. Spears’ sons were carried into the emergency room by hospital workers.
When Britney arrived at the hospital, she had managed to force herself to sit straight upright, despite being strapped into the gurney. “Her eyes were like pinholes,” another witness recalls to OK!.
UPDATE 10 – LAPD spokesman Jason Lee said,
Police were called to Britney Spears mansion this evening. She was refusing to hand the children over to their father as part of a court order. We were called and the situation is now what we call a Code 4 – which means everything is done. That means we verified the court document and the children are being returned to their father via representative.
However we do believe Britney Spears is under the influence and needs to be evaluated. She is being transported to hospital where she will be tested for both drink and drugs. At this stage we do not know what she may or may not have taken – that?s while she needs to be evaluated.But obviously if the test does prove positive then we would be looking to move her to a police station and charge her. But again I cannot say if that will happen for sure until we get the evaluation test results.

UPDATE 11: Britney’s estranged father Jamie Spears, who had not been seen with his daughter since the spring, arrived at the hospital around 1:14am
UPDATE 12: Stress and mental anguish of the ongoing custody battle and deposition has caused Spears to “lose a tremendous amount of weight in the past several weeks.” a source claims.
UPDATE 13: A member of ONTD is claiming that a friend inside the hospital witnessed Britney screaming just after entering the hospital. She was screaming, that she would rather die than ‘let him have my babies.’ After repeatedly screaming that she wanted to die she was restrained by hospital staff and may have been sedated.
