If you are feeling tipsy on New Year’s Eve and in NYC – Sean Combs (P. Diddy) is offering to pay for the cab-fare to help tipsy revelers get home safe. Sean is teaming up with the city Taxi & Limousine Commission to give away thousands of free cab rides to ring in 2009.
"New York is the world’s most iconic New Year’s Eve city, so let’s lead by example and show everyone that a sophisticated holiday celebration doesn’t just end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely," Combs said.
Thousands of $15 debit cards that can be redeemed for single taxi rides will be handed out by Ciroc street teams in Times Square and in Chelsea beginning at 11 p.m. Wednesday night. The cards will be doled out until 3 a.m. New Year’s Day, or until the supply runs out.
