I think you’re taking this out of context. She said she wears a promise ring and that not ALL girls want to be sluts. That’s not necessarily to say that ALL girls who don’t wear promise rings are sluts. I see it as making a strong comparison of polar opposites. The same as saying “I became a cop, not everyone wants to be a drug dealer” (there is a happy medium, but this is a stark contrast to make a point).

Plus, while I do think promise rings are worthless trinkets (why do you need a ring to reinforce something you already believe?), I don’t see virginity as a fad like Kaballah or trucker hats, it’s a personal belief. Some people believe in virginity until marriage, some don’t. Just because Ms. Spears and co. turned it into a joke (just like she’s done with marriage, motherhood, and her music career) doesn’t mean everyone who believes it is as fake as her.

Tanya you basically said that all fat girls can’t get laid? It has absolutely nothing to do with the way she looks. She has morals, and if she was skinny I bet she still would. If she’s fat or not, that has nothing to do with it.
