A drum pictured on the cover of an iconic Beatles album has been sold at an auction in London to a private collector for $1 million.
The hand-painted bass drum, which appeared on the cover of the 1967 LP, "Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band," went for four times the estimated amount at a Christie’s sale of rock memorabilia Thursday, the Daily Express reported. Nice memorabilia but who would pay $1 Million for a drum. Nice to have money to waste!
