Fox announced Wednesday that the 4th position on the American Idol table will be replaced by no other than Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen told her talk show audience in an episode scheduled to air Thursday that she had been "dying to tell everyone" and would not abandon her chatfest. Instead, she will have "a day job and a night job." "The times we’re living in," she quipped, "we’re all doing that."
Yay! She will be a nice change from "ditsy" Paula Abdul. Ellen is smart, clever and quick and she should make a nice addition to the team. Perhaps Ellen can breath new life into American Idol. Photo: Flynet Pictures
