Brooke Shields’ frank disclosure that she was almost a suicide while suffering post-partum depression is great reading in People Magazine – the article shows us that even the rich, famous and beautiful can be vulnerable to mental illness. That is very important because for the millions of us who suffer one degree or another of mental illness at some point in our lives the stigma attached to it can be almost as much of an impediment as the illness itself – it can stop us form getting the treatment that can save our lives and make us feel better! Imagine that asinine Tom Cruise had the gall to publicly criticize Brooke Shields for using paxil to treat her depression. What a truly disgusting person is Tom Cruise. An elitist swine without a humane bone in his little body. Does he think that spending over $250,000 on Scientology training, which is the cost of the full course of that bullshit, is a good alternative to Paxil at pennies per dose? Do little Tom the Scientology monkey and his well trained wife Katie the robot know that modern medical science has saved and vastly improved the lives of millions through psychiatric medication properly prescribed? Of course how could this penetrate the warped hypnotized mind of a Scientologist – these morons don’t believe in mental illness – LOL!! This is hysterical for the simple reason that most of the Scientologists I know are totally crazy!
Anyway – good for Brooke – its big of her to get her story out there so that others suffering depression or other forms of illness can get the courage to seek help and get better. Photo: Fame Pictures
