So many people watched Jay Leno’s new show it had the biggest viewing numbers since "American Idol". However, the critics panned the show. Robert Bianco of USA Today slammed it as a "cut-rate, snooze-inducing rehashed bore."
Leno did not gamble on the show – he decided to have Kayne West which he knew would draw many many viewers.
