David Letterman has confessed on air to a string of affairs with his staff after an extraordinary alleged blackmail plot by a television producer. David Letterman told millions of viewers that he had been the target of a $2m extortion bid over his affairs with workers on the CBS show he has fronted since 1993. Shortly after his admission last night, it was announced that an employee of CBS’s 48 Hours, a documentary series that regularly features true crimes, had been arrested.
The extortionist is alleged to be Robert Halderman, 51, an Emmy award nominated producer from Conneticut. Why do I believe the only reason David is coming clean is because his behaviour was about to be exposed! Have to feel sorry for his wife she has been publicly humiliated.
