The live television audience at the “Live Regis and Kelly” show were shocked to hear that TV journalist Bryant Gumbel has been battling lung cancer the past couple months. Bryant made the announcement on the show December 8, 2009 in New York City, New York while appearing as a guest on the morning show. He shared with Kelly and Regis that he had part of his lung removed and has been through radiation.
