Former Miss Argentina Solange Magnano 38 years old died as a result of complications from plastic surgery. Solange underwent a gluteoplasty – a procedure which normally involves placing implants in the buttocks to improve their outline – which turned fatal when liquid injected "went to her lungs and brain". How sad she lost her life to have a firmer bottom.
Last year, around 50,000 plastic surgery procedures were performed in Argentina, a 60% increase in five years. The growing number of foreigners heading to the country for inexpensive cosmetic enhancements accounted for much of the increase.
