Convicted Child Rapist Roman Polanski was released today from jail in Zurich. He is heading towards a luxury property in the Swiss Alps where he will remain under house arrest while his case is decided. Polanski is fighting extradition to the USA where he faces all kinds of difficulties due to his drugging and raping a 13 year-old child many years ago and then fleeing the country to avoid sentencing and paying for his awful crime. Remarkably, his admission that he drugged, raped and sodomized a young child has not stopped other Hollywood stars from working with him or even openly supporting him!
Kind of makes you wonder… I mean the message I got out of this is that the entertainment elite consider themselves to be well above the law. The rest of us, including innocent children, are there simply for their amusement and enjoyment – sort of like we play the role of the serfs and they the gentry back in feudal times. Lord Polanski was well within his rights to take the 13 year-old girl for his perverse enjoyment and how dare we expect him to be subject to criminal prosecution and sentencing as a consequence. This is Hollywood’s point of view – I say its time to send them a message of our own!
