2009 Miss Siberia Contest Irina Getmanova
Russians love beauty pageants and Siberians are true Russians! One thing that stands out is that some of these contestants, including the winner of the 2009 Miss Siberia Contest Irina Getmanova, looks absolutely anorexic.
This leads us to our poll today: Should beauty pageants impose minimum standards for body fat percentage so that contestants who endanger their health to become TOO slim will not be allowed to compete? My opinion is that setting the standard for beauty as too skinny – as skeletal in fact, is both unrealistic and unhealthy for most and should not be allowed or encouraged. What do you think?
