Corey Haim’s funeral has taken place in Toronto. The ‘Lost Boys’ actor, who died last Wednesday (10.03.10) at the age of 38 in his Los Angeles home, was laid to rest at the Steeles Memorial Chapel in the city, where hundreds were in attendance to pay their respects. While 200 managed to go inside, many more stood outside the chapel. The procession left the Jewish funeral home to head to the burial site at 11:40am local time.
Corey Feldman, Haim’s long time friend did not attend but Feldman’s second cousin Maytal Kotler told the Toronto Star newspaper the event was "very sad but with a lot of laughter". Fan Jennifer Matton drove eight hours from Philadelphia to Toronto to show her support. She said: "I think I’m his number one fan. I’ve loved him since I was 13. I’ve never done anything like this before, but when I found out he died, I was very sad." It is believed Corey died of an accidental drugs overdose, but a toxicology report has yet to be released.

I’m still in a minor state of shock at how he left us.Corey Feldman wasn’t there out of respect for the Haim family’s wishes to keep it private and personal. He wrote a very moving letter to his buddy Corey Haim on his blog.It moved me to tears.
RIP Corey.I don’t think I’ll ever forget you.You were a little chapter in my childhood.
Sad sad news !
