Happy Days Actor Tom Bosley Has Passed Away

Tom Bosley has passed away earlier today in his home in Palm Springs, California, after battling with a staph infection. He was 83.

He starred in many television roles, but was most notably known for his role as Mr. Cunningham on Happy Days. He also became known for his role as Sheriff Amos Tupper on Murder, She Wrote, as well as Father Frank Dowling on Father Dowling Mysteries.

His Happy Days co-stars Henry Winkler (the Fonz) and Scott Baio (Chachi) have already spoken out about our loss.

Henry Winkler said, “I saw him before I ever got to Hollywood on Broadway, and he was great. And then I got to act with him for 10 years and he was great. Tom Bosley was our mentor. He was a true artist … a great husband, and a fabulous father and grandfather. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.”

Scott Baio adds, “He was a good man who taught me a lot about the business and business itself. He was a professional guy … I’m sad.”

RIP.
