Janet Jackson Talks About Her Breasts

Janet Jackson went on ABC News to promote her new self-help book, True You. During her segment, she talked about her weight struggles and her first role on the popular seventies show, Good Times.

She said, “Everyone wanted to know about the weight loss, the weight gain — how do I do it. It’s just talking about my routine, my workout regimen, my nutrition. I wanted to talk about it.”

She went on to reveal that her body image issues go all of the way back to her role as Millicent “Penny” Woods on Good Times.

She said, “I was actually doing ‘Good Times’, and on our first day of shooting they bound my chest because they thought my breasts were too big. I got the part when I was ten, we started shooting when I was eleven — I was developing early. It made me feel that the way that I am, it’s not good enough. That’s why I decided to call the book ‘True You’.

Good for her for coming forward and talking about that! It brings to light a lot of issues that many women face. Kudos to her.
