Kristen Stewart did a lot of research for her role as teenage dancer/hooker Mallory in her new movie, Welcome To The Rileys. She learned how to pole dance and everything, but now says that she’s miffed that no one is going to see her strip club performance.
She said that she was disappointed that the preparation she put into the part was wasted. She said, “You don’t actually see me strip which I suppose is a good thing as I was initially nervous about that. Now it’s kind of annoying because I learned how to do it but you don’t see any of it. But it’s probably for the best.”
She went on to reveal that when doing that research, she was offered a job as a real stripper. She added, “Well, I mean, like, doing this movie….one shocking thing was to find how easy it is to flaunt your sexuality. Like, I went to a strip club with the director and the costume designer and it being an odd grouping of people going into a strip club in the middle of the afternoon, I was straight-up offered a job.”
What she’s obviously failing to realize is that none of the girls who work in strip clubs are bastions of beauty and the competition isn’t like America’s Next Top Model.
