Carey Mulligan Gets Mistaken For A Prostitute In LA

The ‘An Education’ actress admits she feels much more at ease in New York because it easier to walk around the city without looking suspicious.   She said: "You can spend an entire day walking around in New York, whereas in Los Angeles, it always ends at some point because you have to find a way to get home.  "If you’re walking down the street in Los Angeles, people do sort of look at you like you’re a hooker because it’s so rare to see someone just walking."

The British actress – who is dating her ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ co-star Shia LaBeouf – enjoyed her time in New York while working on different projects so much, she is even considering relocating there.

She added to Interview magazine: "I love New York. I think I could live in New York. The first time I was there for an extended period of time was a couple of years ago when we shot ‘The Greatest’, and then I did the play ‘The Seagull’ the following summer. I came back last fall to do ‘Wall Street’. But I love New York – maybe more than Los Angeles or London. I think I’m happiest in New York."  Photo: Fame Pictures
