Charlie Sheen & Brooke Mueller Have Started Divorce Proceedings

The couple – whose two-year union has been in trouble since the actor was arrested on Christmas Day (25.12.09) after allegedly assaulting Brooke – have signed a 41-page agreement, which details the settlement of their split including custody of their 15-month-old twin sons, Bob and Max.

While they will have joint legal custody, Brooke will be the primary carer while Charlie will have the children on the first, third and fifth weekends of each month.   According to the documents obtained by website TMZ, Brooke will receive a $757,689.70 lump sum and will also receive $55,000-a-month in child support.   Charlie also has two daughters, Sam, six, and five-year-old Lola, with ex-wife Denise Richards and the papers state that “under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to Denise Richards for Sam and Lola”.

Charlie – who also has a 25-year-old daughter Cassandra with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt – will keep the couple’s marital home but has to buy out Brooke for $1 million.   The document also stipulates Brooke is not permitted “to disclose to any media sources personal information relating to Sheen’s sexual affairs or alleged drug usage” and Charlie agrees to the same.   Since the alleged assault, both Brooke and Charlie have received treatment in rehab, while the 44-year-old actor had been accused of having an affair, something he denied.   It has now been revealed Brooke is to check back into rehab for 30 days after her attempts to get treatment for her alleged crack cocaine addiction at home failed.   Charlie is set to appear in court next month after his hearing was postponed, and he is expected to plead guilty to third-degree misdemeanour assault.
