Daniel Radcliffe Dreams Of Playing Spider-Man

Daniel Radcliffe, 20 who is best known as Harry Potter in the movie series – confesses he was jealous of Tobey Maguire playing the web-slinging hero in the three instalments of the ‘Spider-Man’ franchise.   He said: "I was always unbelievably jealous of him playing Spider-Man. I do think Spidey is the coolest of superheroes."   However, discussing his best known role as young wizard Harry, Daniel admits he is not always keen on the way the character reacts to situations.

He said: "He’s capable of being quite arrogant, pigheaded and a little bit selfish. He can make himself something of a martyr when he really doesn’t have to.   "All those characteristics are wonderful because it separates Harry from archetypal superheroes that you often get."   Recently Daniel admitted he was worried about his future job opportunities when filming on the final movies, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ part one and two, is finished, and feared a career in pantomime – a British comedy musical theatre production shown around Christmas.   He told BANG Showbiz: "I hope that I will have some kind of employment after this. Otherwise, I don’t know… panto I suppose!"  Photo: Fame Pictures
