Discovery Channel’s Michael Jackson Autopsy Reenactment Cancelled

Discovery Channel's Michael Jackson Autopsy Reenactment Cancelled

The Discovery Channel was going to have a television special with a  a reenactment of Michael Jackson’s autopsy.  Fans and family were shocked and furious over the distastefulness of it.  The ad for the show depicted a covered body on a stretcher with a sequenced hand sticking out.  For them to even consider doing something like this was just exploiting Michael’s death.  Michael estate sent a an angry letter to the network letting them know how displeased they were.

TMZ is reporting: “A rep for the Discovery Channel, which planned to run the special in the UK, tells TMZ, “Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Michael Jackson’s estate, the scheduled broadcast of the medical documentary related to Michael Jackson’s official autopsy has been postponed indefinitely.”

If the Discovery Channel had aired this they would have lost all credibility.  I don’t know what they were thinking about, – oh wait, I know, money!
