Lady Gaga shocked the crowd at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards by wearing a dress comprised completely of meat. Now, we’ve learned that she was donning cheap cuts of meat for her disturbing attire.
“It’s all beef,” declared Peter Cacioppo, 50, of Yonkers, head butcher at Ottomanelli Brothers on the upper East Side.
“Her bodice looks like the outside of the rib. Over the shoulder looks like it does come from the shoulder. There are no expensive cuts here, no real steaks. The best you’ve got is the flank steak on top of her head.”
His nephew, who works with him behind one of the city’s top meat counters, said about 25 pounds of meat went into the carnivore couture.
“It’s the cheaper end cuts – not including her. You got about $100 of meat there,” said Mark Cacioppo, 30, of Queens.
I bet that was the least expensive thing anyone wore on the white carpet Sunday night. Well, that and probably Snooki’s dress.
