Why do film organizations, Hollywood stars, and a variety of kooks keep supporting Roman Polanski as thought the child-molesting rapist was some kind of hero – the victim of a cruel and discriminatory judiciary?    Roman Polanski drugged with alcohol and quaaludes a young girl that he had lured for a photo session and then sodomized and raped her – entirely against her will. Who can support such a person?   Despite the obvious difficulties involved, the directors of the Berlin Film Festival insisted on selecting Polanski’s film "the Ghost Writer" for award nomination.

We assume this is a political statement from Berlin rather than an artistic one but in any case Polanski remains under house arrest in a luxurious Swiss Chalet while his lawyers attempt to delay or deny justice by preventing the rapist from being extradited to the USA for sentencing.
