First Paula Abdul leaves American Idol and now Simon has confirmed that he will leave American Idol after this season. Simon has agreed to a deal with American broadcaster Fox to launch the entertainment show "X-Factor" in the US next year.
Of course a good incentive to leave American Idol is that Simon will earn more money with the move. This is because he produces and owns the format to The X Factor, unlike American Idol. On the US version of X factor Simon will serve as a judge and excutive producer on the show. The American version of X Factor is expected to launch August 2011.
