Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, has been presented with “Father of the Year” award by ‘The Weekender” a Pennsylvania magazine.
The timing was perfect since he was honored with the award one day after Lindsay stole a $2500 necklace from a jewellery store in Venice, California. After Lindsay stole the one-of-a-kind necklace it was returned to the police by an un-named friend before authorities could search her Venice Beach home. The District Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles has to decide whether to press charges or not for this latest incident.
Michael, with a long criminal record and history of substance abuse has a restraining order to stay away from Lindsay’s Mom, Dina, and Lindsay herself has considered going to court in the past to one against her dear old dad.
The magazine decided to present him with the award because they believed that he has been wrongly persecuted by the media after he spoke-out about the need for his daughter to go to rehab. Sadly the mag is missing the point – the media spoke out against Michael because he is lying, cheating, money-grubbing hypocrite.
The mags spokeperson, Justin Brown said “I hope people will read this and see him for the amazing father he is. The type of father I hope to be one day. Either way, everyone will have something to say about it!” Michael was in tears when he received his award as he spoke about all of his children. Justin added: “I see Michael Lohan as a father who will stop at nothing to protect his family even although he is often vilified by the media for those efforts.”
Father of the Year for Michael Lohan is like Doctor of the Year for Conrad Murray.
