While Miley Cyrus was performing in Melbourne, a fan — some tiny little girl who just wanted to give Miley a hug — jumped onto the stage and rushed full speed toward her idol . . . in sort of a sneak attack, stealthy fashion.

Just as the girl was about to give Miley a little hug, Miley’s manager swooped in for her “rescue” and in an over-the-top, borderline dramatic exit led Miley to “safety.”

While it is clearly not advisable to assault these poor little popstars (heya’ Justin Bieber. Okay after that cop incident yesterday?), it’s very clear that this little girl wasn’t “out to get” Miley, nor was she trying to attack her. She just wanted a hug — a little lovin’.
