Mitch Winehouse is doing lots of high-profile interviews these days based upon about losing his precious daughter, Amy. In an emotional interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan scheduled for tonight Mitch blames Blake Fielder-Civil for first introducing Amy to the drugs which eventually led to her tragic death.
This is consistent with what told the ‘The Sun’ earlier which was that Blake Fielder-Civil had “started her on the road” to hard drugs but her death was a “horrible accident” and her own responsibility.
He told ‘The Sun:’ “I blame him for a lot of things. He started her on the road to hard drugs. But her death was a horrible accident. It was her responsibility. She was told that if she detoxed without medical intervention, this whole thing could happen.” Speaking to Piers he said: “I was sickened and I did everything in my power to stop the relationship. But she loved Blake.”
Mitch also recalled one incident where he had told Fielder-Civil, who he claims started Amy on cocaine and heroin, “Leave my daughter alone, you’re killing my daughter.”

“She was very ill. She was taking an inordinate amount of drugs, and I don’t know how she survived. It was because she was so strong that she somehow managed to survive.”
Of course Blake is a lowlife scum – but someone in Amy’s world had ample opportunity to sample hard drugs and binge drinking – the fact that she took to these so avidly indicates that the problem was with her, not Blake. Without ever meeting Blake there is every chance that Amy would have wound up pretty much the same.
