Breaking News: Rita Hayworth's Grandson Found Dead, Suspected Suicide

It has come to our attention that a grandson of Rita Hayworth, an actress who rose to fame in the 40s and 50s, was found dead in his NYC apartment. While the cause of death is not known, a plastic bag was found over his head and suicide is suspected.

Police officials say that 25-year-old Andrew Embricios, the son of Hayworth’s daughter Yasmin Aga Khan, was found in his apartment late Sunday night and, as of right now, they are not suspecting foul play of any sort. However, the story is still developing and the coroner’s office is investigating his death further.

Embricios was a philanthropic individual, devoting a significant portion of his time to helping HIV/AIDS charities, and very generous. He struggled with drug addiction off and on throughout his life and had reportedly attempted suicide multiple times. He was also suspected to have dabbled in the realms of amateur pornography, posting several videos of himself online, which surfaced in the media during 2007.

A spokesperson for the Aga Khan Foundation, told PEOPLE magazine that the family is in desperate need of privacy at the moment:

“Of course Princess Yasmin Aga Khan and her former husband are deeply saddened by the death of their son Andrew Embiricos in New York on Sunday night. They would really appreciate if their privacy would be respected in the very difficult moment.”

We will update you with any further information.
