Casey Anthony Trial Update: Her Father's Testimony

I’ve been monitoring the trial of Casey Anthony off and on, since I’m truly hoping that some justice is done for little Caylee.

Casey is on trial for the murder of her beautiful daughter, who was only two-years-old when she was found dead. The defense had testified that Casey was molested by her father, claims which he denied. Now, her father George Anthony took the stand to talk about the smell of his granddaughter’s decomposing body.

George said that he picked up Casey’s car from a tow yard on July 15, 2008, a month after he had last seen Caylee. He said that he smelled a “pretty strong odoro” emanating from the trunk of the vehicle. He and his wife Cindy approached the car. Of that, he said, “I was very concerned about the odor. I had smelled something like that some years prior and I was concerned. That particular smell, whenever you smell it, it’s something that you never forget. It’s a very distinct odor.”

He went on to say, “Please God don’t let this be Casey or Caylee. It relieved me a little bit to know that I could not see anything in there as far as my daughter and granddaughter inside.”

Later, it was proven that the garbage bag contained Caylee’s decomposing remains. The defense claimed in their opening statements that Caylee drowned in the family’s swimming pool on June 16, 2008, and that Casey and George covered it up.

I hope she gets the chair. Who goes out to party like she did and go shopping for beer when their daughter is missing???

What are your thoughts on the whole thing?
