Dancing With the Stars Season 12 – Week Eight Recap

Welcome to the result show of Dancing With The Stars.  Last week Kendra Wilkinson and Professional Dance Partner, Louis Van Amstel were eliminated.  If you missed last week’s show catch our RECAP HERE. Five couples remain in the competition.  It is the last step before the semi-finals.   The stars are pushed to the limit with an individual dance and an instant dance.

We are starting the night with individual dances and  Chelsea Kane and Professional Dancer, Mark Ballas who are doing the Waltz. Len said, he feels sometimes they put too much emphasis on the story.  Having that it was very musical and he liked it.  Bruno said,  finally they found the perfect setting for Chelsea to shine like a jewel.  Fabulous!  Carrie Ann said,  you have to earn perfection and she felt she brought a whole new dimension and earned perfection. Scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Len -9, Bruno – 10 Sub-total = 29

For the instant dance Chelsea chose Get Busy by Sean Paul to dance the Salsa. Len said, the salsa was hot.  Bruno said, 20 minutes you managed to put so many steps in there.  The difficulty was incredible.  Right on the money!  Carrie Ann said,  she did very well with the choreography but she did not feel they had a connection with the music.  Scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Len -9, Bruno – 9  Sub-total = 26  TOTAL = 55 for the night

Hines Ward and Professional Dancer, Kym Johnson dancing the Foxtrot. Bruno said, Yes, Yes, Yes, it was beaming with happiness.  Carrie Ann said, Your such a guys guy Hines.  Great job!  Len said, his dancing has such great appeal, it is a joyful experience to watch him.  He loved it.  Scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Len -9, Bruno – 10 Sub-total = 28

For the instant dance Hines chose Chantilly Lace by Jerry Lee Lewis to dance the Jive. Bruno said, it was like watching Mr. Happy Feet but it was a bit like a penguin.  You did an incredible job.  Carrie Ann said, he did an amazing job.  Len said, he can tell he has worked hard this week.  He said he did a fantastic job! Scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Len -9, Bruno – 8   Sub-total = 26  TOTAL = 54 for the night

Romeo and Professional Dancer, Chelsie Hightower dancing the Tango. Carrie Ann said, someone is in it to win it.  She feels the intensity is unbelieveable.  She felt everything about the routine was in sync.  Len said, feels he has updated his game again.  Fantastic, well done.  Bruno said, he dances like a real man.  He feel he has done marvelous! Scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Len -9, Bruno – 9 Sub-total = 27

For the instant dance Romeo chose Tequila by Xavier Cugat dancing the Salsa.  Carrie Ann said, it defintitely felt like we were at a club, but something happened you to were a little out of sync.  Len said, they got it right it is a club dance and it was hot! He loved it! Bruno said, the salsa is about fluidity and they lost that. Scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Len -9, Bruno – 8   Sub-total = 25  TOTAL = 52 for the night

Ralph Macchio and Professional Dance Partner, Karina Smirnoff dancing the Viennese Waltz.  Ralph Macchio is recovering from a severe dancing injury – he ruptured a cyst on the back of his knee.  Len said, you did a great job, it has nice movement.  Well done!  Bruno said,  Vampire lovers, dancing from night to dawn.  He says it is astonishing how well he danced with the injury he has.  Carrie Ann said, you inspire us you danced with so much pain.  You did an amazing job. Scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Len -8, Bruno – 9  Sub-total = 25

For the instant dance Ralph chose Stuck in the Middle by Stealers Wheel dancing the Cha Cha.  Len said, he admires his perseverance.  Bruno said, the Cha Cha is all about hip action and you could not do it.  Carrie Ann said, it is amazing you could do that with that injury. Scores: Carrie Ann – 7, Len -7, Bruno – 7   Sub-total = 21  TOTAL = 46 for the night

Kirstie Alley and Professional Dance Partner, Maks Chmerkovskiy dancing the Argentina TangoBruno said, Kirstie’s footwork was perfect, her body is shrinking and her talent is huge! Carrie Ann said,  she loved the passion, chemistry and drama – the quality was good. Len said, they captured the mood of the dance, it was hot.  Scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Len -9, Bruno – 10 Sub-total = 28

For the instant dance Kirstie chose Cobrastyle by Teddybears to dance the SalsaBruno said, he loved it – it was a classic Salsa.  Carrie Ann said, she loved it she felt they were total in sync.  She thinks the chemistry works for them.  Len said, it was a slower more rhythm Salsa.  It was a more basic dance but it worked.  He thought it was fabulous.  Well done! Scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Len -9, Bruno – 8   Sub-total = 25  TOTAL = 53 for the night
