In a huge surprise 35 year old David Beckham’s $25 milllion lawsuit against a Bosnian hooker has been thrown out of a Los Angeles court. In Touch Weekly published a story given to them by Irma Nici, 26, where she alleges David paid her $10,000 for sex. David has vehemently denied her allegations and sued her and the magazine.
Radaronline reports:
U.S. District Judge Manuel L. Real told a Federal Court on Monday that In Touch Weekly’s article titled David’s Dangerous Betrayal, published on October 4, 2010, was in the public interest. Furthermore he said: Beckham is a public figure and the details of his private life are in the public interest; Nici has a right to make free speech and while plaintiff points out red flags in Bauer’s story, the failure to investigate doesn’t establish malice.
There is no word yet if David Beckham will appeal the decision. In my opinion he would be better off to leave it alone and the story will die down. If he continues to fight the story will remain in the press. With his wife Victoria pregnant I am sure she does not need the stress!
