Fox’s GLEE has covered 13-year-old Rebecca Black’s Friday, which some have called the “worst song ever.” It’s quite surprising that Glee would cover Friday since it was immediately blasted by critics for having simple, cheesy lyrics.
The song, went viral on YouTube, got mostly negative reviews and Black received death threats. Controversy always increases ratings and that is obviously what Glee was looking for in reproducing this song, what else could the reason have been?
