Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry Call Ceasefire In Custody War

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have called a temporary truce in their bitter custody battle over their two-and-a-half-year-old daughter Nahla.

While not exactly peace its certainly a positive development that’s beneficial to everyone involved.  Halle is not going to seek sole custody of Nahla despite the legal threats have been flying back and forth.

Halle and friends are responsible for several nasty and negative items about Aubry appearing in the media recently, and she released a statement through her rep, saying she was “concerned” for her child’s well being while she was in Gabriel’s care.
Other accusations included that Gabriel had used the ‘N word’.

One report said he was verbally abusive to Halle during their five year relationship.  “I think Halle started realizing that things were getting out of control,” a close source to the actress revealed.  “It was just getting too nasty and too public.”

Neither Halle nor Gabriel want to fight this battle in public. They stopped talking to each other as the war hit its most intense peak but now they have resumed speaking again.

“Gabriel has not responded to the allegations that have been made against him,” said the source.  “His thing has always been that he will save the truth and fight, if needs be, in the privacy of family court, where no cameras or press are allowed.”  “Gabriel and Halle even resumed talking again last week, and it seems that Halle is going to be making it easier for Gabriel to spend time with Nahla, which has been a sticking point between the two up till now.

“Hopefully this is the start of the two of them being able to form some kind of workable co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughter.”

Well it seems like Halle and her people have realized that their war of words against Gabriel could only harm poor Nahla.
