After last night’s part 1 of the Dancing With The Stars finale show J.R. Martinez is tied at the bottom of the leaderboard. J.R. shook off an injured right ankle to score a pair of 10s with partner Karina Smirnoff for their hip-hop inspired dance, (see video here) which led panellist Carrie Ann Inaba to predict they would be “safe”, despite only scoring 24 points for his Cha Cha Cha. Len added: “Two things were revealed – Karina’s body and your talent.”
For the first dance tonight the contestants got to choose a favorite dance of theirs to perform. J.R. and his partner professional dancer KArina Smirnoff chose to perform the 1st Jive. Once the three remaining contestants perform the judges scores and the audience will be added together and someone will be eliminated. The remaining two contestants will dance their last dance and compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy.
Judges comments – Carrie Ann said: You had a bit of a rough time there but you are a catalist for joy. I agree with the crowd but I saw a few oops. Len said: There are good weeks and bad weeks but what is always consistent is the band and the singer. You did what I asked you took out the lindy. Bruno said: What you did was energetic, fast paced, fun, fun, fun and I loved it.
SCORE – JR was scored in second place and he got a 28 addded to last night’s total he is in third place with a 82!
