In case you didn’t know, teen singer Justin Bieber is super popular. So much that his fans are all up in his personal life, threatening his girlfriend, Selena Gomez and talking non-stop about his hair. So it doesn’t really come as a surprise to find that he has just amassed over ten million followers on Twitter.
Justin isn’t the first celebrity to hit the ten million mark on the social networking service, with Lady Gaga getting ten million followers only a few weeks ago. Still, it just proves that we’re in a Bieber/Gaga world.
To put it into perspective, Britney Spears is a long-running pop icon and she has over eight million Twitter followers. Another teen idol, Miley Cyrus, has only amassed over a million followers.
After his friend Sean Kingston was injured in a jet ski accident, the Biebz took to Twitter to send out his best wishes. He tweeted, “got my friend @seankingston in my prayers tonight. a true friend and big bro. please keep him in your prayers tonight as well.”
Apparently it’s a Bieber World, and we’re all just living in it.
