Lindsay Lohan Surrenders Herself For House Arrest

Fulfilling her promise to take full responsibility for the bad things that she’s done, rehabbed actress Lindsay Lohan has officially surrendered herself to begin her house arrest this morning.

Now, she’s going to be confined to her home in Venice, California for the next two weeks. There was no booking photo taken and she has been fitted with an ankle monitoring bracelet for the duration of her house arrest.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said, “She is now confined to the interior premises of her home at all times.”

People magazine reports:

Whitmore adds that Lohan surrendered to the facility at 5:02 a.m., where it was determined she was eligible for home confinement. The actress was fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet and released in less than an hour. No booking photo was taken.

She was originally sentenced to four months in jail for her involvement in the theft of a necklace worth $2,500 from Kamofie & Company. Due to overcrowding at the jails in Lynwood, she was granted house arrest.

Hopefully this will mark the beginning of her getting her life back together.
