Paris Hilton looks like a princess in a spectacular Sari covered with Swarovski crystals for Marie Claire India’s October Bridal Special Issue. The photo was taken by Mark Arbeit for the magazine and Paris wears a Tarun Tahiliani Sari. I have been to India and worn a Sari and have to say this is one of the nicest I have ever seen. In the interview for the magazine Paris said: “I am obsessed with Indian designers. I love the whole Swarovski bling and all those crystals. It is gorgeous and yes, maybe I have designs on some of them for my next outing on the red carpet.”
Paris is said to have fallen in love with the Sari and Indian clothes and wants to learn to drape a Sari. When I was in India I tried to learn, it is not easy, there are yards of fabric. During the photoshoot Paris is said to have been very down to earth, a real professional and a pleasure to work with. She told the magazine she is focused on building her business empire.
Paris will arrive in Mumbai, India Saturday to introduce her fashionable line of handbags and accessories in that populous nation’s Shoppers Stop department store chain. Indians are excited to have her in their country! The parties for her begin tomorrow night with Queenie Singh hosting a “Welcome Paris to India” bash at a Mumbai five-star.
