Ron Artest, who is eager to change his name to Metta World Peace, is going to have to wait till August . . . because that is as soon as he’ll be able to get in front of a judge to hear his case.
He filed the official documents yesterday with the L.A. County Superior Court, declaring that he desires to change his name for “personal reasons.” His hearing is scheduled for August 26 and, unless anyone objects (which they are allowed to do two days prior to the hearing), he’ll more than likely be granted the name change.
