Some Say Today Is Unfollow @CharlieSheen On Twitter Day - We Doubt It

Some people are calling for an end to the limitless publicity and exposure Charlie Sheen has received recently. ‘Oh No They Didn’t,’ in their typically superior pseudo-intellectual tone, says that “this particular shitshow has gone on too long.”

Then they list Charlie’s what they believe to be his crimes:

* Repeated violence to women (he shot one, he threatened to behead another, and then there are the porn stars. Oh, the porn stars.)
* Spelling “corner” with a “k.”
* Insulting Thomas Jefferson. Repeatedly.
* Certain men are now using him as a role model. This is not good.
* We’re tired of #tigerblood and #winning. Really tired.
* Thinking about him and his porn star coterie is gross.
* He has kids. Come on.
* We have made him even more full of himself.
* It’s not even Charlie Sheen tweeting anyway.

So these geniuses at ONTD proposed making today ‘Worldwide Unfollow Charlie Sheen On Twitter Day.’

What they fail to notice is that Charlie Sheen is news and that’s because he is different. Hollywood is full to bursting with hypocritical phonies who do all of the things Charlie does, and worse, but go to any length to hide their true behavior. Like Charlie is the only star who takes drugs and hires prostitutes – please! Is he the only dude out there with problems with ex-wives and producers? Hardly. But Charlie is open about his crazy lifestyle, his like and dislikes, and he actually doesn’t take himself that seriously – much of his grandstanding is obviously done in a self-satirical manner. For my dollar, The Charlie Sheen Show is the most interesting thing to come out of Hollywood in some time – including their produced entertainment.

I would happily ignore ONTD before I would stop following Charlie Sheen. He, at least, is entertaining.
