Whitney Houston has enrolled herself into an out-patient rehab program!

But don’t go thinking that Whitney is trying to get any drug or alcohol demons under control. A source has confirmed that Whitney is not in the program to deal with any drug or alcohol related issues.

She checked into the program roughly ten days ago and is said to be allowed to go out in public, as long as she has a monitor present. Seems like strict rules for someone not dealing with a drug addiction, doesn’t it?

The source said, “She’s cleansing herself to get ready for a new movie.”

I had no idea that rehab programs allowed people who don’t have any addiction issues to deal with, just to enroll and get help with a “cleansing.” Are you buying that story? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

UPDATE: We’ve learned that drugs and alcohol ARE the issue. Whitney’s rep confirmed the news, saying that her recent trip to rehab is part of a long-standing recovery process! Get well soon, Whitney!
