Will Denise Richards Give Up Charlie Sheen If You Give Up Bottled Water?

Denise Richards thinks that she knows what is wrong with the world and has pinpointed bottled water as the culprit. After much research Denise is urging her fans and others to make what she calls a ‘green’ New Year resolution – and to give up bottled water in 2012. Just say ‘no’ when the choice of bottled water is offered and drink the sludge from the tap? According to Denise it’s the healthier choice! Denise also mentions that avoiding bottled water helps to save money – does that strike you as a real concern of her’s?

Denise recently enjoyed a family vacation with Charlie Sheen and the kids – and she was so inspired that the former Bond girl went and banned plastic bottles from her home and is encouraging others to do the same, insisting it’s cheaper and healthier to drink from glasses.

In a post on her official blog, she writes, “It’s a great time to start thinking about those resolutions. But instead of just sticking to the usual goals of dropping a few pounds or hitting the gym, why not take one simple step that will help the environment, the health of your family and your pocketbook all at once? I recently made the commitment to get rid of bottled water in my home for all of those reasons.”

“Every year, about 1.5 million tons of plastic goes into manufacturing water bottles, and most of those bottles just end up in landfills. But even if you recycle, there are lots of other reasons to stay away from plastic bottles. One is the price! Also, many studies show it’s not healthy drinking out of plastic bottles. Harmful chemicals in the plastic like bisphenol A (BPA ) can leach into the water and make you sick. It’s much safer to drink out of glasses, aluminium bottles, or reusable Bpa-free water bottles… Will you give it a try?”

I’ll tell you what Denise – you give up Charlie Sheen and I’ll give up my bottled water.
