I guess Alexis Bellino really couldn’t take the Orange County heat any more because sources are confirming that while the Real Housewives of Orange County star began contract negotiations, she has since opted to leave the show all together. Not the most shocking thing considering that by the end of last season Alexis had managed to either insult or alienate most all of the ladies of the OC cast. They thought they were doing her a favor by pointing out that she came across like a pretentious blow up doll and neither Alexis nor her (puppet master) controlling husband, Jim, ever took it with a shred of grace. Alexis did what she always does. She patted herself on the back while playing victim in front of the cameras. According to Us Weekly, enough is finally enough for “Jesus Jugs”. (Hey, Tamra Barney called her that first, not me!)
“Alexis was really tired of being bullied and chose home and family life over celebrity,” the insider explains of Bellino’s decision to stop filming. Though she is said to have begun contract negotiations with Bravo, the former Housewife “wanted to go back to her simple life in Orange County.”
At one point the Bellino’s were seriously considering taking legal action against cast mates, such as Barney. They’d even issued a statement through Us saying,
We have continually tried to take the high road, however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of the law.”
Thankfully, that drastic step was never taken but it seems to me, after threatening such a thing the writing was pretty much on the wall here for Alexis. I have to wonder if she began contract negotiations just to be able to say that she did. I wonder if there was ever any real intent to ink a deal for another season. I’m sure she’ll be pretty easy for Bravo to replace. It is Orange County where surgically crafted bodies and blonde extensions are a dime a dozen. I just wonder if the next chick in the door will be as much of a dingbat as Alexis has been. One can only hope! N Will you miss her?
