Chelsea Handler‘s respect for Maria Carey is lower than Demi Moore‘s self-esteem. Chelsea lashed out at Mariah and her husband Nick Cannon live on radio with Howard Stern Monday. Of course Chelsea’s nasty remarks stem from jealousy as she will never approach Mariah’s fame or fortune.
In fact, as we reported yesterday on Celeb Dirty Laundry, Chelsea was slammed by Joan Rivers, also on Howard Stern, for being a whore who slept her way to the top. Making reference to Chelsea’s past relationship with E! President Ted Harbert Joan said:
“Number one, the girl made it on her back f**king the president, we all know that, of the network. Number two, she’s fine, she’s ordinary. She’s not a genius. She’s an ordinary girl that was f**king somebody high up in the industry and they gave her a break and she’s doing okay.” Rivers continued her tirade by saying, “Whatever she is, she’s a drunk. I don’t wish her good luck, I don’t wish her bad luck,” Joan said. “I don’t think she’s particularly funny. But don’t you come after me, you whore!”
Chelsea and Mariah began their feud when the ‘Chelsea Lately’ star criticised Nick during her opening monologue at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards and then went further, tweeting, “I just heard nick cannon is starting a comedy tour. Who’s going to do the comedy?”
Chelsea told Stern: “Anyone who’s married to Mariah Carey, I’m pretty sure doesn’t have a great sense of humor, I mean, let’s be honest, she’s ridiculous. What is her game plan? What kinda person operates like that?”
“She’s worse than Elizabeth Taylor. She’s just so ridiculous with her body. You see her one day and she’s like 50 pounds heavier or lighter, I mean what is she doing?” Handler continued. “I don’t even understand what hemisphere people like that operate in. There’s nothing real about her and her Hello Kitty whatever. Nick tweeted in defense of wife: “when people talk about my family the ‘hood’ in me comes out.”
Chelsea doesn’t seem to understand that ridiculing Mariah for her weight issues is in bad taste. Throwing in an implied insult to Elizabeth Taylor just makes Chelsea look like the whore she is. When Chelsea Handler is long forgotten both Elizabeth Taylor and Mariah Carey will still be known as star celebs.
