The CMT Awards festivities on Wednesday night announced their winners live from Bridgestone Arena. Carrie Underwood was the big winner, taking home the big prize of Video of the Year award with her “Good Girl” video and taking home multiple awards.

Check out the full list of the winners below via USA Today.

Video of the Year: Good Girl; Carrie Underwood

Male Video of the Year: I Don’t Want This Night to End; Luke Bryan

Female Video of the Year: Over You; Miranda Lambert

Group Video of the Year: We Owned the Night; Lady Antebellum

USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year: The Trouble With Girls; Scotty McCreery

Collaborative Video of the Year: Remind Me; Brad Paisley with Carrie Underwood

CMT Performance of the Year: Tattoos on This Town (from CMT Artists of the Year); Jason Aldean

What I find interesting about this list is that TWO of the eight winners are American Idol winners. I’m thinking the winners of American Idol are smart to head on over to the country genre for success!

Of her big evening of awards, Underwood said that it was all about her fans. She explained, “They’re the ones in control. I have a really active fan base. The people who come to my concerts and support me, they really get out and they do stuff. They vote. Any polls or any awards show, anything that they have control of, they’re all about it.”

Did you watch the Country Music Awards last night? What do you think of the CMT Awards winners list? Do you see any surprises?
