Dallas 2012 Season Premiere Preview & Spoiler

Tonight Dallas is back and if you were alive in the 80’s you’ve either seen the original show before or like the rest of us, you were wondering at some point, “Who shot J.R.?” and that episode still remains, one of the most watched shows ever.

It’s been two decades since we left Southfork and a lot of our favorite characters are back tonight, along with some new and very “hot” ones. Dallas favorites, J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) and J.R.’s wife, Sue Ellen Ewing (Linda Gray) are all back.

We have a preview and some spoilers of the June 13th episode of Dallas 2012.  If you don’t want to know, don’t read any further!!

Poor J.R. is in an assisted living center, all penniless and depressed, but that won’t stop him from scheming. Bobby is still at Southfork with a new wife Ann (Brenda Strong) while J.R.’s son, John Ross Ewing (Josh Henderson) and Elena have struck oil again and want to undermine his grandmother’s legacy by drilling right on Ewing land. Meanwhile, Bobby’s son, Christopher (Jessee Metcalfe) returns from Asia with his fiancée, but he just can’t keep his mind or nasty thoughts off of Elena. As well, Christopher’s thoughts for the family business is in a completely different direction than John Ross, he wants to take it in a new direction of alternate energy resources.

John Ross will be flexing his six pack but rumor has it that he lacks J.R.’s swagger. Christopher is charming like his father and will be caught in a love triangle.

Christopher’s mother, Pamela Barnes Ewing (Victoria Principal) will not be returning to the show, but she will still be on Bobby’s mind a lot even though he has been married to his new wife for eight years now.  Sue Ellen is busy with her own career, she may just become governor!

There are more of the old cast returning to the show; Ray Krebbs (Steve Kanaly), Lucy Ewing (Charlene Tilton) and Cliff Barnes (Ken Kercheval).

Tonight we will first see the pilot episode, “Changing of the Guard” where the family gathers at Southfork Ranch for a wedding of an old rivalry that crosses generations. Then the next episode is “Hedging Your Bets” where a plot begins to unravel, we will see Christopher and Elena (Jordana Brewster) who must bury their feelings to work together because Elena is John Ross’s girlfriend.

Hagman warns viewers, with a grin, that we are in for an awesome ride, “you’ve got to really pay attention to this show because things happen so quickly and people get stabbed in the back so fast by their loved ones that I can’t follow it, to tell you the truth.”

There will be plenty of back stabbing and take downs when the revamped Dallas airs tonight at 9pm on BRAVO. Don’t forget to come back tonight for our full official recap, in the meantime, enjoy the preview below!
