Ever since word got out that Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy called it quits the tabs have been going crazy on finding the real reason the country princess would give up on her chance of her very own Camelot. The most common theory is that the Kennedy clan influenced Conor, only a high school senior, to give Taylor up because she was getting in the way of his homework and future of being a Kennedy man (which basically involves politics, booze and womanizing). But a new interview with Cosmopolitan magazine is leading some to believe that Taylor was actually the one who orchestrated the relationship’s untimely demise. Was Conor acting like a true Kennedy man a little too early in the game?
“I can’t deal with someone wanting to take a relationship backward or needing space or cheating on you. It’s a conscious thing; it’s a common-sense thing. If I was in that situation, if I were them, would I be doing this to me? Would I ever do this to them? If the answer is no, then they’re not treating me fairly. I just don’t ever want to end up in a relationship that isn’t fair ever again,” Taylor told the magazine.
So did Conor Kennedy cheat on Taylor Swift? Or is she talking about some of her other boyfriends in the interview? John Mayer perhaps? We’d have to take a look at the timeline. This interview probably took place a month or so ago so it’s possible that Taylor was still with Conor at this time. However, because no one knows the exact date of the break up yet, she could very well be throwing some shade on her Kennedy beau. Nevertheless she is definitely talking about someone who did her wrong. Taylor said she’s basically been shit on and she doesn’t want to be treated like crap ever again. I have a feeling it will definitely happen again because Taylor can’t control her crazy. Can she ever just be cool? She says she doesn’t ever want to play games in a relationship but can’t she tread lightly at the beginning without being all “Hi! My name’s Taylor. I love pink and puppies and rainbows and YOU!” There’s a pretty big jump between playing games at the beginning and just holding back the tiniest bit and Taylor has yet to figure out the distinction.
With Taylor it always seems like everything’s black and white – all or nothing – fair and not fair. That’s a very young person’s attitude to have in life so I can’t hate on her for that just yet. Perhaps that’s a good way to look at a relationship when it comes to something like cheating but it may not be the best attitude when it comes to relationships in general. Even good people suck sometimes, right? Taylor’s new album may be Red now but hopefully one day she might wisely call one Grey.
Who you do think Taylor was referring to in the Cosmo story?
